Money in 3 Minutes

about

Written by a sixth-former, for sixth-formers and future analysts

I'm Kinza, a Year 12 student in the UK studying Maths, Economics and Psychology. I started Money in 3 Minutes because the money news is written for people who already understand it, and the people who most need to understand it are 16 and have never been told what a gilt is.

What you get every Tuesday

  • Three stories from the week, each in plain words, with the one number to remember.
  • An "analyst's lens" on each story: how someone paid to read this news would read it.
  • A chart, a word of the week, and one interview question of the kind spring-week interviews actually ask.

What this is not

It is education, not financial advice. I am not qualified to tell you what to do with your money, and I never will on this site. I don't take money from apps, brokers or anyone else, and there are no affiliate links. If that ever changes, it will say so here first.

Why you can trust the numbers

Every number links to a primary source, every issue shows the date its facts were checked, and mistakes are fixed in public. The full rules are on the accuracy page, together with every source the site has ever cited.

For teachers and schools

You are welcome to use any issue in a lesson or a sixth-form newsletter, with a link back.
